At our annual meeting on May 17, 2006, the members of
LWVBAE adopted our position on Civics Education.
It was the outcome of our two year study into how Civics is taught in Berkeley,
Albany and Emeryville. Those interested in knowing what we learned are
invited to read our study report (an
Acrobat PDF file).
This section of our web site is designed for those
teachers, students, parents, and interested citizens wanting to learn more about
how Civics is taught, and how that instruction might be improved. To
