Climate Change Team

Evan Mills talks about Energy Efficiency: Getting Out of the Greenhouse

Lawrence National Lab researcher Evan Mills spoke on Energy Efficiency at our December Brown Bag talk. He has posted his slide presentation so that those who were not able to attend may participate online. Brooke Ray Smith Explains Bansner Award Research Project

The winner of this year's award from our League's Eva Alexis Bansner Fund for Sustainable Communities is Brooke Ray Smith. On Monday, September 10, 2007, she spoke to a meeting of Environmental Concerns to explain the research proposal for which she won her Bansner award. 8th Annual Community Luncheon

Voter Registration

  • Registration for the June 3, 2008 California Primary election will close on Monday, May 19, 2008.

  • Use the following links to register (or get registration information) for upcoming national, state and local elections.

  • Paper registration forms (to be filled out and mailed in) are available at Post Offices, Libraries and DMV (Department of Motor Vehicle) offices.

  • Statewide results from the Secretary of State's Web Site are here.

  • Alameda County results are here.

  • CNN is one of the news organizations that allow you to track the 2008 Presidential campaign.

  • You can use SmartVoter to examine the results for the ballot you voted on Election Day.  Type your street address and zip code in the boxes on the screen you'll see after you click on SmartVoter, then click the find ballot button.  You should then be presented with the ballot for your precinct, showing the results.
