All community members are invited to attend “Addressing Public Safety in Berkeley, Albany, and Emeryville” from 6:30 to 8 PM on June 16th. REGISTER HERE
The last year has been one of increased street-level violence and domestic terrorist threats, along with diligent efforts to reimagine public safety and structure appropriate police oversight. To start the evening, a panel of local leaders will speak to the critical issues and answer questions about the aspects of public safety on which they are focused.
The panel will include Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’Malley, Emeryville City Council Member Courtney Welch, Albany Mayor Preston Jordan, Albany Community Task Force on Policing Member Greg Downs, Berkeley City Councilmember Terry Taplin and Berkeley Interim Police Chief Jen Louis.
The panel will take place from 6:30-8 PM, followed by the member portion of the meeting from 8 to 8:30 PM. Please see/or download the annual meeting workbook HERE
