LWVBAE leaders, volunteers and interns have been conducting Gen Z and general voter service outreach – and Vote with the League advocacy –  in the lead up to March 5, 2024 Primary Election. 

Most recently, the team tabled at Berkeley City College, where they showed candidate forums, engaging students at Berkeley City College and other nonprofits that inquired about our programming and opportunities for youth.

“I felt very engaged when students asked me questions and showed interest in what the League does,” said Ngawang Chime, the voter service intern, who has been immersed in supporting voter service candidate forums with social media promotion, including live tweeting.

Election Director Alex Li urged that in addition to public facing engagements, League members continue the “Each 1 Reach 5 Campaign” by sharing voter resources with five others they know who may need them.

“I’m appreciative of the efforts made by interns and volunteers in the final stretch before the March 5th election, as we prepare for a round of Special Election Candidate Forums in Berkeley,” said Li, before announcing that the date and time for the League’s Candidate Forum for the April 16th Council District 7 election will shortly be made.
