The Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville Chapter of the LWV is currently exploring interest in establishing a new Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Team. Jessica Powell, with international experience in gender equality issues, is leading the effort.

Priorities areas of action will be set by team members and may include some of the following:

• Sex trafficking and forced labor
• Childcare
• Paid parental leave
• Closing the wage gap
• Equal employment opportunity
• LGBTQ rights
• Campus sexual assault
