The week of September 8-14 will be exciting for the Bay Area! The Global Climate Action Summit with climate leaders from around the world is taking place in San Francisco. The summit will be launched on Saturday September 8 by the RISE Climate March starting at 10 am at Embarcadero Plaza. The official meeting is by invitation only but it will be preceded and surrounded by hundreds of side meetings open to the public before and during the conference. The LWVABE’s Climate team is planning to join the march and attend some of the side meetings including one sponsored by UC Davis on September 11-12 in San Francisco.
