Light for our Democracy

Join us for Light for our Democracy, March 4th, at 6 PM. Democracy is not just a system of government—it’s the power of the people. It begins with us, our voices, and our votes. At a time when democracy is under threat, we’re asking you – and countless folks across the country – to come together to defend it.

Today, Tuesday, March 4th, marks the President’s Address to Congress. Instead of tuning in, We the People will host peaceful community gatherings at state capitols, city halls, town halls, and public gathering spaces across the country, to bring people together in reflection, action, and solidarity. Some will be hosting an action at Berkeley City Hall. For those who need to show up in a peaceful virtual space, join us for a special coffee hour at 6 PM.  We will discuss what we can do at the local level.
